When will the 2007 Facts, Figures and Records Book and CFL Rule Book be available?

The 2007 Facts, Figures and Records Book and CFL Rule Book can be ordered online or by mail by visiting the publications section on CFL.ca.
How can I play in the CFL?

The CFL does not hold general tryout camps. Our teams travel across North America on scouting trips as they see fit. Please contact the teams individually for a tryout, or to find out where training camps/scouting camps will be held.
How do I order Grey Cup tickets?

The 2008 Grey Cup is scheduled to be held at Olympic Stadium in Montreal, Quebec. The date will be November 23, 2008.

Where can I find information on past CFL Players, Statistics and Rosters, and CFL History in general?

Unfortunately we do not store a great deal of this type of information at the League office. However, information can be found via the Canadian Football Hall of Fame website at www.footballhof.com. More detailed inquiries of should be forwarded to the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in Hamilton, Ontario.
How do I apply for a position with the League Office?

Resumes and cover letters for jobs at the League office should be forwarded to the email/fax detailed in the job posting. Current job postings can be found on the CFL Job Board.

Please note, all CFL clubs employ staff independently of the League office; therefore, club-related employment inquiries should be forwarded to the club directly.
What is the CFL Playoff Format?

The top team from each division automatically makes it to the Division Championships. Then, the second-place teams in each division host a Division Semi-Final game against the third-place team in their division. However, a situation may occur whereby the fourth-place team from one division has more points (not tied) than the third-place team from the opposite division. In this case, the fourth-place team would cross over into the opposite division and compete against the second-place team of that division.

Please note that at the end of the regular season the second-place team in a given division will always host a Division Semi-Final, regardless of the number of total points a team who crosses over may accumulate.
How does the Import Player rule work?

The roster size for a CFL team is 46 active players with 42 available for game day rosters. Three of the 42 are quarterbacks and can be either imports or non-imports with no restrictions. Of the remaining 39 players, no more than 19 may be imports. Therefore the maximum amount of imports allowed on game day rosters is 22. Training camp rosters are set at 68 plus all non-counters (i.e. draft picks and two additional players not selected in the current draft year).

How do I become an On-Field Official?

The CFL draws most of its officiating staff from the ranks of CIS officials.

All CFL officials started at the amateur level, officiating club team games or high school football. Each official worked their way up through a local association, moving progressively to working higher and higher levels of football.

Ultimately, very few are identified as ready for professional work after extensive scouting by senior CFL staff.
